The Happy Skin Scrubby is very easy and quick to do and the perfect helper for your daily bath room rountine!
Due to the cotton yarn you can clean it easily like your other laundry!
The original pattern is by Judith Prindle. I made a few changes.
Here is what you need:
Yarn: any 100% cotton yarn (I used Catania Grande).
Hook: 4 mm
Stitches: chain (ch), single crochet (sc), slip stitch (ss)
Specials: crochet in back loop only (BLO), crochet 2 stitches together (2tog)
Tools: tapestry needle
Garn: jedes 100% Baumwollgarn (Ich habe Catania Grande verwendet).
Häkelnadel: 4mm
Maschen: Luftmasche (LM), feste Masche (FM), Kettmasche (KM)
Besonderheiten: nur in das hintere Maschenglied häkeln (BLO), 2 zusammen abmaschen (2 zus abm)
Werkzeug: Nähnadel oder Sticknadel (rundes Ende)
General Information:
Every row (except the first) starts with a tunring chain stitch.
Every stitch (except the first row of sc) is made in the back loop of the stitch only (BLO) – with this you make the structure of the scrubby.
Make it in one colour or two colours. I switched colours every third row (2 rows blue, 2 rows white).
Jede Reihe beginnt mit einer WendeLM (ausser die erste Reihe).
Jede Masche wird nur in das hinter Maschenglied der vorhergehenden Masche gestochen (BLO) – das macht die Struktur.
Unifarben oder gestreift – beides sieht gut aus. Ich habe jeweils 2 Reihen in einer Farbe gehäkelt (2 blau, 2 weiß).
English Pattern:
Leave a long tail and Chain 21
1. 2 sc in the second ch from the hook, 17 sc, crochet the last 2 tog (20sc)
2. ch 1, 2 tog, 17 sc, 2 sc in the last stitch (20 sc)
3. ch1, 2 sc in first stitch, 17 sc, crochet the last 2tog (20 sc)
Repeat row 2 and 3 until you have made 21 rows.
Leave a long tail before fasten off.
German Pattern:
Faden lang lassen und 21 LM anschlagen.
1. 2 FM in die 2. Lm von der Nadel aus, 17 FM, die letzten 2 M zus abm
2. 1LM, 2 zus abm, 17 FM, 2 FM in die letzte M
3. 1Lm, 2 FM in die erste M, 17 FM, 2 zus abm
Reihe 2 und 3 wiederholen bis 21 Reihen gehäkelt sind.
Faden lang lassen am Ende der Arbeit.

So sollte das jetzt aussehen!
Fold the lower part to the half: left down corner to the middle.
Jetzt die unter Hälfte falten: linke untere Ecke zur Mitte falten.
Now fold the right upper corner to the middle.
Jetzt die rechte obere Ecke zur Mitte falten.
Turn the piece so that the side parts look up. Crochet the two corners together with slip stitches, use one of the long tails.
Die Arbeit so drehen, dass die Seitenteile oben liegen. Jetzt die Ecken mit KM zusammenhäkeln, dafür eine der Fäden verwenden.
Now the side parts will be closed.
Jetzt werden die Seitenteile verschlossen.
Using the other end of yarn weave each end in and out of the ends of the rows of the edge it is attached to. Pull them tight.
Mit dem anderen Fadenende die Seitenteile auffädeln (durch die M raus und rein stechen) und zusammenziehen.
Pull tight until closed, put the needle through the hole and repeat the same for the other side. Weave in the end.
Zusammen ziehen und die Nadel durch das Loch auf die andere Seite führen. Dann auf der anderen Seite den gleichen Verschluss machen. Faden vernähen.
Finished. Now on to the handle.
Fertig. Jetzt noch den Griff machen.
Crochet the handle: ch5, 4 sc. Repeat until it is long enough to fit round the back of your hand (appox. 8cm).
Den Griff wie folgt häkeln: 5 LM, 4 FM. Wiederholen bis der Griff lang genug ist, um über den Handrücken zu passen (ca 8 cm).
Sew the handle to the back of the scrubby.
Den Griff an den Scrubby nähen.
Finished!
